Batteries That Can Work at High Temperatures(up to 85 Degrees Celsius)

As the global economy grows, the demand for oil, natural gas and other energy sources continues to expand, stimulating the exploration and development of petroleum and other subsurface resources.
In the exploration and development of petroleum and other underground resources, one needs to further understand and grasp the geological structure and resource reserves deep underground, and therefore must use relevant scientific exploration instruments and equipment.
Since ordinary electricity cannot reach downhole, these scientific exploration instruments and equipment must use batteries that can withstand high temperatures as the main power source. In working environments such as downhole, there are often over 60 degrees Celsius, which puts high demands on the batteries. Clearly, ordinary lithium-ion batteries cannot be used as a power source for drilling equipment, and the only battery that has the potential to meet these technical requirements is a lithium thionyl chloride electrochemical system battery.
Our lithium thionyl chloride battery has the advantages of high specific energy, high operating voltage of 3.2V~3.4V, long storage life of more than 10 years, and low annual self-discharge rate of less than 1%. Capable of operating at a maximum of 85 degrees Celsius, they are better able to meet these stringent requirements
