Battery Wear of 18650 Li-ion

2022-03-10

1. Battery wear is an inevitable process, usually we use the voltage to determine the state of the battery - after a long time of trying to charge, the battery voltage can not rise, at this time means the battery will have some wear. If the voltage of the 18650 battery is measured with a voltmeter, it shows that the battery voltage is below 2.7V or no voltage. This indicates that the battery is damaged. A single battery is marked as 3.7V, its normal voltage should be 3.0V~4.2V (generally 3.0V battery voltage cut-off, 4.2V battery voltage saturation, individually 4.35V).

2. If the battery voltage is below 2.7V, you can use the charger (4.2V) to charge the battery. 10 minutes later, if the battery voltage rises, you can continue charging until the charger is full, then check the full voltage. If the full voltage is 4.2V, the battery is normal.

3. If the 18650 lithium-ion battery pack battery voltage is measured, there are two situations at this time, one is that the battery is good, long-term loss of power storage, the battery has a chance to recover, general pulse activation device are used lithium-ion battery (lithium-ion battery charging and discharging device) in a short period of time to charge the battery many times, can be repaired. Another possibility is that the battery is completely depleted, the battery diaphragm is ruptured, the positive electrode and cathode short circuit, in this case we should consider the scrap battery or the battery to have the ability to handle the business of recycling
